"Dream of a Blue Bird" Giclée Print

"Dream of a Blue Bird" was painted in studio from an interesting photo of a long nosed bird. After researching Florida shore birds, I believe it may be a small snowy egret. I painted it with the same process I use in all my oil paintings but this one was turning out extra interesting early on.  The subtle colors and washy paint quality was just enough and told me "stop painting".  Luckily I listened to the inner voice and hung her up on the wall. I would wait until tomorrow to determine if I needed to paint further. Later that day a visitor to the studio proclaimed, "Oooo, I love THAT one." "I guess she's done", I thought. And soon after she was purchased to live with a long-time collector & student in Michigan.
